When you send an inquiry, you'll hear back from me within 24 business hours with a full guide including my packages and lots of info!
From here, if you're not quite ready to book, we'll schedule a phone call where we can get to know each other and I can answer any questions you may have!
After we chat, I'll send over a proposal which will include your contract and invoice for the package discussed, where you can sign and pay your deposit all in one place to secure your date! Cue the happy dances!!!
This is where the fun starts!! I'll send over a questionnaire to get to know you and your story, and then we'll begin to chat about what your session will look like. I love to see pinterest boards so I can pull a common theme of what you're loving and what inspires you, and we can incorporate that into your shoot in our own way. I want to know what brings you joy, and what you want to remember about this time in your life!
It's shoot time!!! We'll meet up at our chosen location and have a blast. I always tell my clients to treat it more as if we're filming a movie of your life rather than taking still images!
Now you get to look back on this moment in your life forever. Your grandkids will pull out these photos and be able to see you in your element, in such a special time in your life! Galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session, and kept online for 6 months!
A part of memories I’ve found is an important part of the story, is capturing the nursery you put so much work into with so much excitement, or capturing the state of a lived in home full of love how it is in this moment in time.
My favorite childhood photos to look back on are not the posed, emotionless ones with a super clean background, but the ones that show the true state of the house I grew up in. Seeing the toys I remember playing with sprawled all across the floor, the books my mom read to me over and over again lined neatly on my bookshelf, the giant rocking chair in the corner that my mom rocked me to sleep in that still sits in her house today, and my favorite mouse plushie that was always in my hand everywhere I went. The ones with the checker board on the table that I used to play with my grandpa every time he visited, and the ones with my Disney VHS tapes that I still watch today, messily sitting on top of the TV.
A home shows character, and love. It shows that there was laughter, happy tears, fingerprints on the fridge, and messy art projects. These are all things we will ache to see again when the moments fade away.
Something I offer as an add on is 35mm film photos digitalized in your online gallery.
Blending film and digital is one of my favorite things. Film has a whole other soul to it, it's like listening to your favorite song out of a record player instead of playing it out of your phone. You feel it on an entirely different level.
Film is messy which makes it beautiful and timeless. Looking back at old film is like watching home videos that your dad recorded on his handheld camera when you were a kid. It's just pure nostalgia.
