Savannah and William started their day off with an abundance of smiles and laughter. These two are seriously some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, so it’s no wonder their wedding was full of love from everyone around them. They share an incredible love that was so amazing to witness in Camellia Gardens, and they celebrated and danced the night away with some of their closest friends and family.
A few words from the bride:
–How did you two meet?
“We laugh every time we get asked this question… we actually met on Instagram! William slid into my DM’s lol. We literally had 1 mutual friend which he didn’t even really know. A couple of days before he messaged me I had actually recently gotten out of a terrible relationship. He messaged and asked if I wanted to FT him that night and tell him about it and of course, I did! We sat on FT for hours and every day after that! He was in Yorktown, VA and I was in Charlotte, NC. We talked on the phone and texted each other all day for about 5-6 months and we finally decided to meet in person! We decided to go to Virginia Beach which was only 30mins from William, so I went up to see him! (Obviously, I did not tell my mom lol) it was such a great first date/ impression! We stayed right on the water and had an incredible weekend! He took me around and showed me where he had grown up, and even ended up meeting his parents! fast forward a month later and William comes to visit me here in Charlotte, NC. I remember he came and picked me up from school and we went out to dinner and he asked me to be his girlfriend! He also met my parents that weekend as well!”
–What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
“One of my favorite memories from our day was dancing all night with my new husband and all of our family and friends! We loved seeing all of our friends come together and just large the night away. Even after the wedding our closest friends and family went to a brewery in Monroe and hung out for the rest of the night! The owner was about to close for the night but realized how many people we had with us!”
–What do you love most about being married?
“I love that I get to spend every day with my best friend. it doesn’t matter if we stay in the house all weekend; as long as we’re together, that’s all I care about! I also love just having someone have the same views and goals as me! With us both being teachers we can always help and lookout for one another especially on our hard days!”
–What is your advice for future couples getting married?
“Please do not worry about what friends or family have to say about YOUR day! The wedding planning process was such a stressful time for William and I! Even though it was tough we got throw it together and planned the best weekend of our entire lives!”
